H1 2024 ended: what have we accomplished thus far?
The first six months of 2024 have flown by! A great time to look back on what we have all accomplished so far.
An awful lot has happened! We picked one achievement per month:
🌐 In January we launched our new website www.trippz.com. Of course, this one is never finished, so we are continually improving and expanding it, with much more information on tourist tax coming up, for example. We will give an update on this soon.
👩💻 For the back-end geeks: in February, our code quality passed PHPstan level 8 (out of 9), which is considered the holy grail. This means that our code has a high quality, and guarantees stability.
🆕 In March, our developers completed a feature that improved the quality of our control mechanisms for the tax data we track. This saves us a lot of time, and simultaneously improves the quality of our data. And of course, some AI is involved, along with human controls.
🇪🇸 In april we held our first off-site after COVID. As a fully remote company, we work all around the world (Belgium, Egypt, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom). We had a great week in Valencia, where we worked together, and explored the Spanish (tax) culture!
🎉 Since May, Trippz has been SOC 1 Type 2 certified, after achieving the SOC 2 Type 2 certification last year. This demonstrates that Trippz's internal processes are accurate and reliable, meeting high requirements. We are really proud of this achievement, and eager to maintain the high quality standards. A big thank you to Scytale, for the support during this process.
🎯 In June, tax data from Switzerland, Mexico, India , and Portugal was added to our platform. This means we now have 26 countries completely covered. Our aim for H2 is to include an additional 18 nations that we have initiated research on.
We are very proud of all our team members, and our achievements in the first six months of 2024.
We are looking forward to the coming months, as we are working on a lot of cool new features!
